Montie Design, in partnership with the RTP Product Development Guild, is proud to present the Montie Design Lunch and Learn Series
of presentation and networking events in 2011. These low-key,
high-impact seminars provide networking opportunities and relevant
insights to those in the business of developing and bringing to market
engineered products.
This Lunch and Learn event features John Slaughter, intellectual property attorney of the law firm Moore & Van Allen, presenting "Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements: Understanding their Role and Practical Tips" on Wed., March 2 at the Montie Design studio, just south of RDU Airport in Morrisville.
In this seminar, John will provide an understanding of how confidentiality agreements fit into the context of intellectual property rights, and how they can be used to protect your rights in business transactions. He will discuss different types of confidentiality agreements, different terms commonly found in such agreements, and practical tips on which types of and terms in confidentiality agreements are appropriate for different situations.
This particular Lunch and Learn is especially appropriate for individuals or businesses that may possess proprietary information that they may need to disclose but wish to protect from further disclosure, or may be recipients of such information from others. The presentation will enable attendees to understand what terms are most appropriate for different situations.
The event will begin at noon and will include a catered lunch
by Panera Bread (please email us at jeff@montie.com if you have dietary
restrictions). There will be time for discussion and networking before
and after the presentation. We will conclude about 1:15 p.m.
All proceeds from registration fees will be donated to Post 7383 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
